Netbooks offer the basic PC functionality for unheard prices.The all new Gateway LT32 Netbook though priced a little on the higher side as compared to its cotemporaries, also comes with added features which justify it.
The product comes as an 11.6 inch laptop with an AMD Athlon Neo II K 125 processor which is a deviation from a usual 10 inch size and an Intel Atom processor. Neo is a better performer during the initial use. But one cannot deny that an Intel Atom gives your machine a longer battery life of more than 6 hours as compared to 4 hours of AMD Neo.
Gateway LT32; which comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics is a small step up from the integrated Intel graphics found in most Netbooks. Though it isn’t much for 3D games, its playback is great. Other things discriminating it are the 2GB RAM and a Windows 7 Home Premium OS instead of a more common Windows 7 Starter Edition. The best part about this product is that it takes very less time to boot up. Also the wait time between launching and switching applications causes less hanging.
The Gateway LT32 available for 449$ seems like a good bet nonetheless. |
