Microsoft India has picked up 20% stake in Affle, a mobile application provider. According to the Affle this investment will help to expand in regions like Europe, US and Australia where they don't have any presence. Earlier also the company recieves an investment of 10 million dollar from a PE firms and some individual investors in India. Affle currently provides SMS 2.0 service to Airtel and Idea cellular network which is an upgraded system of SMS service in which the user can use colored fonts and animation in a sms. they are also talking to Reliance and Vodafone so that they will have larger user base.With Microsft's help Affle will integrate its product with Windows Live services and MSN content on cell phone.
