The latest survey reports indicate that mobile devices are preferred over PCs by the social media users.
The reports suggested that in major four Asian countries, the users prefer mobile over PCs to stay connected on social networking sites. The major users being from China, India, South Korea and Thailand access social sites from their cell phones.
Detailing about the numbers, the reports indicated that 62% users from China and 65% from Thailand use mobile phones to get news alerts and notifications, receive and reply to messages, upload photos, or update personal status and profiles on social networking sites. If compared to other countries like Australia and Singapore, the percentage is relatively low there.
The number of mobile users in South Korea is also large but the prime reason being the technology advancement.
The reports further suggested that these changes in preferences will force mobile operators’ to modify pricing strategies.
