Due to worst hitting recession, PC market is stumbling regularly and in fact for the first time revenue generated from the sales of notebooks have declined.
This drop has been noted for the first time year-over-year basis. However, netbooks continue to mark a surge in sales. The netbooks kept the momentum up in sales but it is estimated that the lower selling point of hardware contributed most to decline in revenues.
It is also speculated that the lower price of netbooks is also hampering the overall revenue earnings of the portable PC market.
The figures also indicated that the average price of portable PCs reduced upto 20 percent if compared to the prices for the same period last year. Also, the prices for netbooks have declined by almost 29%.
In fact cheaper netbook options poised for arrival in 2010 will force decline in computer revenues.
