According to the insiders, the revenues from mobile applications downloads are surging and would reach $58 billion in next three years. The mobile apps are being downloaded at a rapid pace for various mobile products including smartphones and tablets.  

The promising numbers throw a clear cut indication that apps on Apple App store and Android Market are not a fad; these are emerging as serious market and business. The trend is not meant to go off but is suggested to stay here for long, cited related sources.

As per the market surveyors, the number of download would reach 17.7 billion by the end of the year and revenue generation would reach $15.1 billion. Further, the statistics indicate that revenues would rise by 190% and number of download would increase by 117%. The increasing trend will continue by 2014.

The rising acceptance of apps is bringing in various business opportunities for developers; the segment was kickstarted by Apple with the launch of App store.
