Apple is expected to hit again the notebook segment.
From long time, Apple is been in news with its iPhone and iPod. After buzzing the world with its iconic devices, this time Apple is making a fresh entry to notebook segment. MacBook Air, launched early this year redefined the mobile segment.
If updates are to be believed, Apple will unveil the new version of MacBook at a press event on October 14. But the bigger news is that Apple’s new MacBook cases will be made of one solid chunk of aluminum thus indicating that company is manufacturing its laptops using new methodology to make its laptops smaller, sleeker and lighter.
The new model is incarnated as MacBook Brick. The new models will come with a LED-backlit display and is expected to sell at an aggressive entry-level price point.
The reports also indicate that Apple might do the final assembly of the product in-house thus getting fully involved in the business of manufacturing notebooks.
Earlier, the manufacturing process of MacBook was outsourced to Chinese or Taiwanese manufacturers like Foxconn. The new process is expected to make design changes faster and reduce costing.
In fact these models are expected to be unlike any notebook available in the market in appearance and design. Satinder Kaur/ITVoir Network |
