HP has launched 25 new printing solutions in its printing and imaging division. The newly announced printing solutions include 10 new printers and all the products are targeting SMBs. These new additions to the already existing large portfolio include color printers and multi functional devices. As per the sources the latest products are build on Print2.0 strategy that allows the SMBs to print when and how they want. One of the introductions in this series is a very cheap printer “color laserjet CP1215” which is priced for $249 (10323 approx INR). This printer is the lowest priced desktop color laser printer till date from the HP’s kitty. HP has also introduced a new system re-brand for its ink-based officejet line-up with printers and cartridges. HP also offered The Jetdirect 690n wireless network-printing server that allows sharing of several printers on a single network using an 802.11g wireless connection. With theses products lined up for SMB segment and promising good quality printing, company is focused to dissociate the printer as a standalone device used merely for printing. They are marketing these newly launched machines as a complete solution suite that encompasses hardware, supplies and services, which the vendor is valuing at $103 billion globally by 2010.
