LG Electronics has announced a new touch enabled handset named, Renoir. It is a feature-packed convergence device.
The Renoir aka KC910, is the successor to the company’s Viewty camera phone. Renoir is packed with an 8MP camera, on-board software to edit photos and videos, a Xenon flash, and a feature that enables users to focus on any object by touching it on the screen. The phone is loaded with integrated Wi-Fi, EDGE, and 3G capabilities with up to 7.2-Mbps downlink speed. The features can be used to upload photos, browse the Web with the HTML browser, use the included online widgets, and send and receive e-mail.
The touch-screen phone has a 3-inch display with an accelerometer, an on-screen virtual QWERTY keyboard, a document viewer to see Word, Excel, and PDF files and GPS.
It is also equipped with Bluetooth version 2.0on board, and there's also an organizer, voice recorder, and built-in hands-free speaker. Also, the phone is loaded with FM radio, TV-out capabilities, and expandable memory via a MicroSD slot.
The handset measures 4.2 by 2.2 by 0.5 inches, and it weigh about 4 ounces. Renoir will make its debut in Europe in October, and it will roll out to Asia, Latin America, and more in November. No pricing have been released yet. Renu Singh/ITVoir Network |
