Micro Star International, Taiwan based computer and components manufacturer has introduced a new ultra-slim notebook on its line-up, called as X-Slim X400.
The new device features Intel's new ultra low-voltage CULV platform, is only one inch thick and weighs only 1.5Kg when the battery is included.
The X-Slim sports the Ultra Low Voltage(ULV) Intel Processors, the Intel GS45 + ICH9M-SFF Chipset and a 14-inch TFT-LCD display that delivers a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The VGA controller included in the notebook is GMA 4500MHD and users will also be able to enjoy up to 4GB of DDR2 800 MHz memory (2x2GB).
Also, the laptop features a 1.3M Webcam, 10/100/1000 GB LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Card reader 2 in 1 (support SD/MMC), HDMI, 2 USB 2.0 ports, RJ45 and D-Sub, as well as 320/500 GB SATA 2.5" HDD, External DVD Super-Multi / Blu-Ray(optional), 40W AC Adapter, an 87-key keypad and Genuine Windows Vista Premium pre-installed on the device.
According to the company, the new X400 turns into the lightest and thinnest 14" notebook available all around the world at the moment.
It can be configured with 4/8 Cell Batteries and should be able to deliver up to nine hours of operation time. With its proprietary ECO Engine, the notebook automatically adjusts settings to offer both performance and battery saving setups.
