With Tokyo Game Show kicked off, Microsoft announced something for both gamers and developers at its keynote address.
According to the reports, the company is reworking the interface for its Xbox Live service. With the “New Xbox Experience”, the company is working entirely on new interface of Xbox 360. The revamps are made to streamline interface, specifically in regards to Xbox Live.
Also, taking hints from other two rival gaming consoles, the company has introduced a feature to its Xbox Live users allowing them to create their own customizable avatar, which will be visible to all users present available then. In its efforts to make interface more streamlined and seamless, the company is working changes from the dashboard, to gamer cards, to tracking friends, and themes.
Xbox Live’s Marketplace has also been redone to enable shopping by browsing users through the Xbox Live Marketplace who are not at their Xbox 360.
All these changes are scheduled to take place Nov. 19.
Also, the trailers of new games namely, “Star Ocean: The Last Hope” and “The Last Remnant” were shown at the event’ games will be out in US in March, 2009, and Nov. 20 respectively.Other games that were showcased included:
Biohazard 5 (Resident Evil 5) will launch in Japan in March, 2009.
Ninety-Nine Nights 2 for the 360, but no release date was announced.
Tekken 6 on XBox 360 to be released Fall 2009, and to include new online modes and features. Halo Wars, early 2009.
Halo 3: Recon, late 2009.
