Sony Corp. has announced the launch of a new gaming console in the markets of Japan.
Recently, Microsoft has made declaration to reduce the pricing of its famous gaming console Xbox 360 to make it cheaper and easily purchasable by the customers to make its presence felt maximum.
As per reports Nintendo’s Wii is the leading console in the markets of Japan. To counter the popularity of Wii, Sony has come up with the announcement of launch of a new model of its PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld machine on October 16 in Japan.
The competition is very tough in gaming market and Xbox 360 is the lagging behind. To make it the best bet in the competition the company is regularly slashing its prices making it much cheaper compared against PSP and Wii.
The new PSP will sell for 19,800 yen ($182), the same price as the current PSP model.
