Toshiba, the Japanese vendor for laptops has launched a new notebook, named Qosmio G55-Q802.
This is the first laptop integrated with Cell CPU, a technology which is more commonly known as PS3 processing technology among consumers. The technology is developed by mutual efforts of Toshiba, Sony, and IBM.
On board the G55-Q802 is supported on Core 2 Duo, and is loaded with Windows Vista. Among other features, G55-Q802 is equipped with 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066 MHz FSB, Toshiba's Quad Core HD Processor, 4096 MB DDR2 SDRAM, dual 250 GB 5400 rpm SATA drives, and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics with 512 MB GDDR2 discrete graphics memory.
The notebook is not meant for gaming purpose but is a multimedia entertainment unit.
Additionally, the features distributed uniquely on notebook are: Upconversion, Transcoding, Video Indexing, and Gesture Control.
The notebook is available for price of $1,549.99.
