Apple Inc's iPhone had a rather glammed up debut On Friday in India. With a host of news channels covering the enthusiastic crowds expressing their views and opinions and queuing up to buy the much awaited phone.Vodafone Essar, India's third-largest mobile operatoris selling the iPhone 3G at 31,000 rupees for the 8GB model, and 36,100 rupees for the 16GB model.
The price in the US went as low as 8600 INR which is way below its price in India.Surprisingly, there were as much as 200,00 online bookings in advance in India and the crowds eagerly awaited the phoneThe launch of the device, which combines a music and video player, cellphone and web browser, was accompanied by cheerleaders waving red pom-poms.Where a few highly applauded the phone for its features immense clarity and sophisticated interactive features .
Others expressed their doubts about the price in comparison to the features offered for example the 2 mp Camera, the absence of Blue-tooth compatibility with the phones from other vendors. The message forwarding ability is also missing it seems and some analysts even had their doubts about the cut paste features. Leave apart the plastic body which does not seem to be very durable.So do we have any takers ?
