Intel Corp, the chip maker has announced that it will officially release its new vPro platform on 4 February. Meanwhile, the company has unveiled some of the capabilities of its new platform.
It is reported that the new platform will have a big boost on security as software hardwired into the system, and also the company has added remote management tools to allow IT support to assess and solve the problems.
In 2004, the concept of VPro platform was generated to help IT administrators redeem costs. Also, it will improve employee productivity.
The company has announced that after introducing four desktop and three laptop iterations of vPro, the new platform will provide various improvements when the full specs are released in February.
Further, the vPro platform will feature Intel's Anti-Theft technology, which helps IT administrators to shut down an internet connected PC automatically. Administrators can also disable hard drive encryption keys remotely.
In addition, Intel said that the new platform will support Advanced Encryption Standard New Instruction and features Aternity remote monitoring software.
