A surprising news has surfaced the tech terrain that the man who oversaw development of Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 and Surface tablets, is mulling to leave the company. As per a latest update, President of Windows and Windows Live divisions, Steven Sinofsky is planning to leave Microsoft after spending 23 years in the company.
Leaving the company for reasons unspecified other than "to seek new opportunities, Sinofsky reportedly said, "It is impossible to count the blessings I have received over my years at Microsoft. I am humbled by the professionalism and generosity of everyone I have had the good fortune to work with at this awesome company".
Steve Ballmer, CEO at Microsoft has also shared his views. He said, “He is grateful for Sinofsky's contributions, citing new releases of Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Microsoft Surface and others. But Sinofsky won't be part of what comes next from the company”.
According to a latest update, Sinofsky will not be replaced by any new President for the time being. However, two of his subordinates will share his work and report directly to Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer.
As a matter of concern, it is found; Microsoft has delivered Windows 8 and Surface tablet just two weeks back to the marketplace.
Industry experts added, Sinofsky's departure is likely to increase the pressure on Steve Ballmer, as Microsoft is intended to restore its lost market repute with latest Windows 8 operating platform and Surface tablet.
