The wait for the 5S: release date for the latest Apple flagship revealed
Added On:5/2/2013 10:00:00 AM

The launch of the much awaited smart-phone, iPhone 5S has been in the circle of rumors since a long period of time now.

A news report claims to have gotten the launch date of the follow up to Apple’s current flagship iPhone 5.

A French website, which has had a decent record of leaks regarding Apple products, has unveiled the image of an internal document of Japanese telecom operator KDDI.

As per the document released, the iPhone 5S will be announced on June 20 and will be available to the customers by July.

The device is called iPhone 5S, and gives credibility to the conjecture saying that the phone will not be named iPhone 6.

The predecessor of the phone has an 8MP camera while the device to be launched will have an upgraded 13 MP camera and will run on iOS 7, a report says.

A Chinese website had previously leaked the first photo of iPhone 5S under production.

Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst said that the upcoming smart-phone will feature a 13MP camera, snappier processor, fingerprint recognition sensor and a more powerful LED flash.

The device was expected to launch in the third quarter of 2013, as per many analysts.
