It has been a mere five months since the iPhone5 was launched. Though it still struggles to gain popularity with the masses, the manufacturers cannot resist but plan the launch of the next version in line.
Reports say that Apple Inc is already under the process of developing two iPhones along with the next generation iPad and iPad mini.
An analyst at KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo comments that Apple seems to be working on an iPhone 5 successor, which is intended to be equipped with brand new features like a faster and snappier processor, a fingerprint sensor and a much more advanced camera to the tune of 13 MP along with a strong LED flash.
The fingerprint recognition function mentioned by Kuo, is being backed upon by last year’s event when Apple acquired Authentec, which specializes in this particular technology.
Talks have also been generated about a cheaper iPhone being developed by Apple. On this matter Kuo stated that the device will be similar to the iPhone 5 but only a little less expensive. The aluminum body will be replaced by a plastic casing along with the option of being available in 6 different colors.
Other sources have reported that the two prototypes have been code named N51 and N53 and that the upgraded camera feature in the Apple may have Sony’s 13 MP unit.
