Adobe Systems Incorporated will be working closely with the creative and developer ecosystem in India to help them build rich digital experiences for multiple devices, screens and platforms for the Indian market. It also announced its collaboration with organizations like redBus, Perfios, and Standard Chartered Bank to offer highly-interactive mobile apps for Indian consumers. The company also showcased the work it is doing with Janaagraha, a leading non-profit organization, in its immensely popular ‘I Paid A Bribe’ initiative. To further support the development of India-centric mobile apps and richer digital experiences, Adobe is also hosting its annual Flash Platform Summit 2011 in Bangalore. The three-day event taking place between 27th and 29th July is the largest Flash developer summit outside of North America.

At its annual Adobe Flash Platform Summit 2011, Adobe showcased the collaborative work it is doing with various enterprises to create interactive mobile apps as well as rich Internet experiences. This includes the work it has done with the very popular and India’s largest bus ticketing company, redBus to create a mobile app that allows users to book bus tickets for 1000s of routes across India. The mobile app provides a highly intuitive interface helping consumers not only book bus tickets on the go but also to assign their seats, compare fares, check the route, etc.
In the financial services space, Adobe announced its collaboration with the leading global bank, Standard Chartered Bank on the recent Indian launch of its revolutionary global mobile banking application called ‘Breeze’. Recognizing the need for a better mobile experience, Standard Chartered used Adobe tools like Flash® Builder™ 4.5 and Flex® 4.5 to create a fully transactional banking application that offers a rich, engaging consumer experience across a variety of tablets and smartphone devices.
The company also announced its partnership with Perfios, a leading personal finance software company to help it create a mobile app that allows consumers to effectively monitor and manage their personal finances. Perfios worked closely with the Technology Evangelist team at Adobe India to create a multi-platform mobile app using Flex Mobile.
Adobe also showcased the unique technology capabilities of ‘I Paid A Bribe’, a well-acclaimed citizen-centric initiative by Janaagraha, a leading non-profit organization based in Bangalore. The ‘Bribe Analytics’ feature of www.ipaidabribe.com built using Adobe Flex provides real-time and interactive information on corruption and bribery across different cities and department. Citizens can report on the nature, number, pattern, types, location, frequency and values of actual corrupt acts on this website and see a snapshot of bribes occurring across the country.
