Convergys Corporation a global leader in relationship management, and the largest private employer in the Philippines, announced the appointment of Marife Zamora to Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Convergys’ Customer Management business. Previously, Zamora served as the first country manager of the Philippines, and managed Convergys’ burgeoning presence in the Philippines from its first contact center in 2003 to its 17th contact center and 25,000 employees today.
In her new Managing Director role, Zamora will be responsible for Convergys’ international customer management business, overseeing approximately 37,000 employees throughout contact centers in the United Kingdom, India, and the Philippines. In this global role, she will be responsible for delivering superior service to Convergys clients and their customers, with the goal of growing Convergys’ international business.
Zamora now holds the distinction of being one of the only Filipino executives in the BPO industry whose responsibility extends beyond Asia.
According to Christine Timmins Barry, Senior Vice President of Operations for Convergys, their global clients want a greater Convergys presence in the international market, and accomplished professionals like Marife, have helped them expand their network of state-of-the-art contact centers worldwide to meet that demand.
