Data security is the biggest hectic faced by broadband users now a day. The F-Secure Corporation has announced the enabling method for online wellbeing of broadband users in India when it announced its cooperation with Sify Consumer Broadband to provide data security to the company’s subscribers. With this latest partnership F-Secure security services are now available to about 50% of India’s broadband customers through four of the leading Internet Service Providers in the country.

Sify will offer its customers F-Secure’s entire suite of award-winning security solutions that include proactive protection through F-Secure's unique DeepGuard technology, parental control, as well as protection against all of today's data security threats, such as phishing, viruses, spyware, Trojans and other threats. All these solutions will be provided as an integrated, easy-to-use and automatically updated package.

F-Secure's security service will be integrated into Sify's monthly Internet subscription. All the security solutions offered by F-Secure will be made available to Sify broadband customers by subscribing to the Sify Consumer Broadband service as an annual subscription. Sify will promote the new value added service through a well-designed publicity campaign that includes brochures, flyers, online advertisements and other material. F-Secure will also train Sify’s sales team to help them create awareness about data security among current and potential broadband users. The service will be offered to the customers via Sify’s online portal. Customers will be invoiced on a monthly basis as a part of Sify’s service bill.

The F-Secure Protection Service provides complete and easy-to-use protection against all Internet threats, whether they are known or previously unidentified. It includes an award-winning antivirus, an easy-to-use personal firewall and an advanced anti-spyware feature. It also includes the F-Secure DeepGuard technology, which constantly monitors software behavior on the computer, ensuring that no malicious programs can take over the computer even if signature-based detection is not yet available for the attacking programs.

In addition, the product filters unwanted spam and so-called phishing attempts from incoming e-mails and the parental control feature can block access to websites with questionable content.
