A dream grown four years back in his mind of making cheapest car, now he
made it reality. Yes a dream car is introduced by Tata group, targeting middle class
people of India.
The Nano is world’s cheapest car with price of $2500 and Rs1 lakh only.
The scepticism and criticism for the Rs 1-lakh car have been coming from all
over as the idea got open in market. Low-cost cars are already having global
impact. This car was introduced on Thursday at auto expo in Delhi.
At a show where car lovers come to check out the latest, the fanciest, the
fastest and luxurious new cars, Tata’s Rs 1-lakh car was a winner by a huge
margin. It was clearly ‘The Car’ of Auto Expo 2008. The car is not yet on road.
But its news’s are in the environment as a burning topic. The nano is called as
“the people’s car”.
The model appeared on Thursday has no radio, no power steering, no power
windows, no air conditioning, and one windshield wiper instead of two,
according to suppliers and Tata's own statements. Bucking prevailing habits,
the car lacks a tachometer and uses an analog rather than digital speedometer.
It also have front sites very close, its gear is also on the front site of
the car itself. You will get a cheap insurance cover along with Nano.
Tata’s Nano will have 624 cc Petrol Engine and it will give 33 bhp power.
This car will give fuel average of 20-25 Km/liter. Quite higher then two wheeler
but on the same price of two wheeler. It can serve you with 90Km/H which is its
maximum speed. Well the Delhi
roads provide a speed limit of 40Km/h and Nano is offering 50% more then that.
Petrol tank of this car will have capacity of 30 liters only.
Nano will be available in three stylish colours of red, yellow and silver.
This car can accommodate 4-5 people (basically four). Price to the distributor
of Nano in Delhi
will be Rs 1 Lakh and its actual price will be slightly more than 1 lakh for
customers.
This car will offer you 21% more interior space than Maruti 800 and it will
be 8% small than it.
You will also get an option of AC Nano. Tata will launch one basic and two
deluxe models (with AC) of this car.
The Team of 500 people has completed this dream of Tata. It had taken around
four years for their engineers to make this dream come true. Length of Nano is
3.1 meter and its width is 1.5 meter, due to which it is easy to park and drive
too. It will cost Rs 1.35 Lakh after all formalities. So are you going to check
it out?
