mChek, a provider of
mobile security and payments services, announced the introduction of the
patent-pending mChek Banner, a unique solution that enhances banner
advertisements on the Internet into payment-enabled links. The mChek Banner is
currently available to all users with pre-paid or post-paid Airtel mobile
connections.
Currently, an
advertisement banner on the Internet is used to drive traffic to a landing
page. For commerce, all efforts are made on the landing page to move the
customer through multiple pages to complete the transaction with the purchase
of a product/service. While advertisers try to optimize advertising banners to
deliver on a cost per sales model while the market has provided banner
advertisements with a cost per impression and cost per click business models.
The mChek Banner
addresses these issues and more. With the mChek Banner, a click on the banner
allows the user to enter his mobile number on the banner advertisement, and
click on the Pay Now button. A request is immediately sent to the user's mobile
phone to authorize the payment and the transaction is completed in a matter of
a few seconds. All this is enabled through a simple line of HTML that
dynamically connects to the mChek Banner server. The mChek Banner server serves
up the latest advertisement as determined by the advertiser and requesting
website.
