AirLive has announced new “E18” firmware for the WLA-9000AP that will unleash the full power of the Hi-Power, Dual Radio, Dual Band Access Point.


The latest E18 firmware will give AirLive WLA-9000AP the edge over other access point as it now comes with 14 different operating modes, 10 more than its previous firmware.  With new operating modes such as Separate Bridge, Gateway + WDS, WISP + AP, AP + Gateway among many others, AirLive WLA-9000AP will fit into any network topologies no matter how complex the setup might be.


With the E18 firmware, AirLive also includes a brand new feature to the WLA-9000AP – Wireless Duplex Mode. Using the Wireless Duplex Mode, AirLive WLA-9000AP will combine 2 radios into one single high-speed link that is capable of a transfer rate as high as 60Mbps in real throughput.  That’s 3 times faster than normal 802.11a/g link. It is perfect for use in wireless backbone application.


Other advanced features include Multiple SSID to create different wireless networks, QoS to prioritize the different data packages, WPA2, WEP and WPA functions for secure connection, Client Isolation function and 3 programmable LAN ports are available for multi-mode AP/Gateway configuration and many others.
